The Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry of the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, Germany, invites applications for a

PhD Position

This fixed-term position will start in September 2018 or later and is available for up to three years (salary scale TV-L E13 (50%) in first year, TV-L E13 (67%) in second and third year). 

The research of the PhD student will focus on quantum chemical investigations of metal organic copper complexes with regard to their capacity to act as OLED emitter. The project will be closely coordinated with synthetic chemists and spectroscopists.

We are looking for applicants holding an excellent MSc degree in Chemistry or Physics and a Master's thesis in theoretical or computational chemistry and a good command of the German or English language.
